A few years ago I undertook a project called The Best of British.
I produced 3 x A2 graphite drawings of famous British war planes.
First was the The Supermarine Spitfire. A British single-seat fighter aircraft that was used by the Royal Air Force and other Allied countries before, during, and after World War II.
Then the Vulcan. A jet-powered, tailless, delta-wing, high-altitude strategic bomber, which was operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF) from 1956 until 1984.
Lastly the Panavia Tornado. It served as a cornerstone of the Royal Air Force (RAF) for nearly 40 years, performing roles in strike, attack, and reconnaissance missions.
This lead to a commission of a Spitfire with the callsign Mac for a young lady whos surname was Mcmahon and who's father used to call her a Little Spitfire hence the title.
